An
Introduction:
Mangal Higher Secondary
School formerly known as Mangal Madhyamik Vidyalaya was estabilished in the year 1962 ( 2019 Jestha 1 B.S.) at
a public meeting shade known as "Paati" of Wahi Bahal, Kirtipur.Aiming to
grow further the school soon got relocated to another "Paati" at Chilancho
Bihar, Kirtipur.
At that time various
environmental as well as religious activities effected the running of the
school i.e. the school has to be closed in the time of rain, storms and
religious functions.Keeping all those hardships in mind, the then head of
local village Panchayet Mr. Dwarika Maharjan handed over about 26 Ropanies
of land located at Kirtipur-3 to the school.
In the year 2040/41, the
school managed to build a shade type building with the money received from
Local Development Ministry's special fund. Later in the year 2045/46, Plan
International Nepal assisted the school in building two-story cemented
school building. Rotary club of Kathmandu Midtown built and handed over 2
single-story buildings, an open hall and two toilets to the school. Apart
from all these infrastructures, the school has a playground comprising
Volleyball and an basketball court.( half of which already got plastered and
other half is in the process).

This school has managed to
be known as one of the best school in Nepal among the public schools by
producing maximum number of successful students in the SLC examinations. We
achieved 94.11% success result in the annual SLC examination of year 2056/57
and 2057/58.

Mangal Madhyamik Vidyalaya
has been running classes from KG to 10.From this year it started
classes nursery and 10+2 as well thus becoming Mangal Higher Secondary
School ( MHSS ). The school runs classes in two shifts i.e.
Morning Shift and Day Shift. Classes from nursery to 7 in the day
shift and classes from 8 to 10+2 in the morning shift. Apart from the regular
classes, the school conducts extra coaching classes and engage students in
extra curricular activities in order to further their knowledge.
The school is committed to
provide quality education in affordable price. In this regard, the school
provides classes for free from class 1 to 6 and 100% scholarship to the
students securing first, second and third place and 50% scholarship to a
student securing fourth place in their respective class. Socially backward (Dalit),
poor and talented student gets 100% scholarship.

School ( MHSS ) is a community based public 10+2 in a real sense. It is
managed by a team of highly qualified, enthusiastic, energetic and dynamic
teachers, professional and social workers. It is supported and encouraged by
Kirtipur Municipality, guardians, Social Workers, Professors and many other
Well Wishers. Specially, Kirtipur Municipality has donated Rs.2,00,000/- for
its establishment. It has a dedicated managing committee and works under the
keen supervision and guidance of the Advisory Committee.

Aims and Objectives:
Mangal Higher Secondary
School
has the following basic objectives.
1. To provide qualitative
and practical education for all at a reasonable cost.
2. To produce qualified,
dedicated and honest citizens.
3. To develop positive
attitude and respect for the discipline.
4. To fulfill the
educational need of southwest region of Kathmandu.
5. To prepare social,
disciplined, active and healthful citizen.
6. To provide quality
education as per the current demand.
7. To provide extra
curricular activities to foster all round development of the student.
We plan to :
1. Run classes from Play
Group
to 10+2 (Education, Management and Humanity)-Started.
2. Provide Computer
education to classes 5 to 10+2.(Started)
3. Engage students in extra
curricular activities as well as forming sports clubs for overall
development of the student.
4. Launch Day Boarders
service in the school.
5. Develop library and
science laboratory gradually.
6. Expand Science streams within 5 years. Besides, vocational and technical
programs will be run under the CTEVT of Nepal.
